The Howard was established as a well respected haven for some of the best dj's in the UK and for the most hard-core of clubbers in the north back in 2000, Its notorious slugathons started out life as a major party point to the famous steel city, clubbing all weekends as a pre party to Gatecrasher and an after party to Insomniacz.

Hundreds of dj's on the harder edge and trance tips have graced the decks at The Howard, some of which have taken their dj'ing careers to the very top including a certain Mr Eddie Halliwell who was spotted by Mixmag at The Howard scratching to HardHouse in the early 2000's.
