The Howard was established as a well respected haven for some of the best DJ's in the UK and for the most hard-core of clubbers back in 2000. Its notorious weekend slogothons started out life as a major party point to the famous Steel City, clubbing all weekends, as a pre party to Gatecrasher and an after party to Insomniacz.

Hundreds of DJ's on the harder edge of trance have graced the decks at The Howard, some of which have taken their DJing careers to the very top including a certain Mr Eddie Halliwell who was spotted by Mixmag at The Howard scratching to Trance the early 2000's
